Diamond Opera Theater
is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that creates unique and intimate programs of Opera, Musical Theater and Art Song to entertain and educate adults and children about the classical vocal arts throughout New York's Hudson Valley.
The repertoire includes works that are seldom seen or heard, as well as small-scale productions of more familiar works, performed primarily in English and accompanied by professional musicians. The programming is designed to entertain and to stretch your musical experience.
Our performances take place in various venues including The Hudson Opera House, where renovation will soon be completed; Basilica Industria, our seasonal waterfront home; and Space 360, a unique space for community and corporate events; all in the heart of the bustling, newly revitalized city of Hudson, NY, the first chartered city in the United States (1785). We are also honored to perform in historic homes in and around Hudson.
